About The Fund
The best thing about Norwescon is the people. Norwescon is an event where amazing, awesome people come together to create, to learn, to make, to do, and to participate with one another as we build our community together.
This community becomes even more amazing when we are able to help as many people as we can join us because not everyone finds it financially easy to attend Norwescon.
The Norwescon Community Fund (NWCF), inspired by prior funds and initiatives, is here to support bringing more people into our community. The NWCF is a special fund to help defray the expenses of attending Norwescon for the following groups of people:
- Black, Indigenous, People of Color
- Pacific Northwest people of limited means
Apply For Assistance
Would you like to attend Norwescon but need assistance? Applications for financial assistance will be available in Fall 2022. We will distribute memberships and funds in waves, exact timing is still to be determined as we develop this fund.
Donate Money or Memberships
Making a financial gift in any amount to the NWCF makes a huge difference! No gift is too small because it all adds up. On behalf of Norwescon, we thank you for your generous support of the NWCF.
To launch this new fund, we’re kicking off with the WA GiveBig campaign. Anything contributed to Norwescon through this 2022 campaign will go directly to the Norwescon Community Fund. You can contribute at the WA Gives website.
Want to contribute via PayPal instead? Please go to our PayPal donation page or click the PayPal button on this page.
Do you have a membership you can no longer use? If circumstances have changed and you will no longer be able to attend, you may donate your membership to the NWCF instead. Please email email@example.com to get the donation process started.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the contributors to the Norwescon Community Fund. Your generosity is deeply appreciated. Below are the contributors who requested their names be published.
