Hundreds of hours of panel programming presented by more than 200 panelists, covering such diverse subjects as science fiction, fantasy, science, costuming, art, writing, genre television, and movies, as well as myriad other topics of interest to fans.

Special Events

The Masquerade, the Philip K. Dick Awards, dances, concerts, performances, and other events not part of our general panel programming.

Exhibitors

Meet and interact with local artists, shop from vendors in the Dealers’ Room, discover art in the Art Show, and learn about local clubs, organizations, and other conventions.

Norwescon is an all-volunteer organization. Volunteer at the convention, or join our Convention Committee and help us throughout the year to put Norwescon together!

Location

Norwescon 48 will be held at our long-time home at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Seattle Airport, located in SeaTac, WA, just a short jaunt south of Seattle.

The Philip K. Dick Award nominees are announced, we’re hosting a CATAN US National Championship Qualifier, single-day memberships will be available on Valentine’s Day, we still have hotel rooms available, about Writer Guest of Honor Ursula Vernon aka T. Kingfisher, about our three nights of dances, events for our teen members, our list of attending artists is up, looking for supplies for teen and tween panels, the Single Pattern Contest patterns are up, meetup signups are open, join us at the Norwescon Music Mixer on Feb. 20, and our charity this year is Page Ahead!

2026 Philip K. Dick Award Nominees Announced

The judges of the 2026 Philip K. Dick Award and the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society, along with the Philip K. Dick Trust, are pleased to announce the seven nominated works published in 2025 that comprise the final ballot for the award.

Introducing Science Guest of Honor Summer Ash, registration and hotel reservations are open, auditions are open for our Labyrinth shadow cast, teen engagement is back, Masquerade and Single Pattern Contest signups are open, announcing our dance themes, calling GMs, we’ll be camping again this summer, we’re looking for panel moderators, meetup signups are open, the Little Free Library wants your books, and we’re always looking for more volunteers!
