Being a part of Norwescon doesn’t stop just because the convention weekend is over! We host and participate in events throughout the year, and welcome all who would like to join us! Read on to see what’s currently on our calendar.

Norwescon Camping Trip

Norwescon Camping Trip, July 10–12, 2026, Bay View State Park, Mt. Vernon, WA.

The Norwescon camping trip is back!

Join us for a weekend in the woods at the Bay View State Park group camp site, near Mount Vernon, over the weekend of . Cost will depend on how many people join us, but typically run $15–20 per person for the weekend.

The site features tent camping for up to 24 people, with picnic tables, fire rings, charcoal grills, full bathrooms, and showers. The park includes light hiking and biking trails, fishing with permit, and an area for metal detecting; non-motorized watercraft such as kayaks and paddleboards may be used on the Sound.

No RVs or trailers are allowed at the group site, and open fires, including the grill, will depend on conditions. Check in on Friday begins at , and a Discover Pass is required for vehicles ($10/night or $45/annually).

Norwescon Book Club

Norwescon Bibliophiles meets monthly throughout the year for lively book discussions. Most discussions are online via Zoom and we have 3-4 in person meetings per year. Please feel free to join an upcoming discussion. It is not a requirement to complete the book. We welcome your participation. No RSVP is required – drop-ins are welcome. Upcoming Bibliophile discussions:

Interested in keeping up with the people you’ve met at the con? Join our public Discord server! Chat about the con, share your art, writing, and creations, discuss the books you’re reading, movies and shows you’re watching, games you’re playing, music you’re listening to, costumes you’re working on, and whatever else you love. All those post-panel and hallway conversations don’t have to end because we’re not in the hotel at the moment.
