The Drag Royalty of Norwescon brings to you an all-ages and all-genders drag workshop, The Norwescon Drag Academy. This two-part workshop will bring you a taste of the history of drag performance and its impact culturally, along with information to get you started down the Fabulous Way, culminating in a runway show to virtually strut your stuff! Your tour guides and mentors for these workshops are the Disney Drag Princess herself, Allen Ryde, and Seattle’s Dandiest Dandy, Mercury Divine!

For those interested, there will be a showcase as a graduation from the drag workshop. Share all of your hard work and glamor from two days of intensive development.

The workshops will be held on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon. The showcase will be Saturday evening.

Allen Ryde

Allen Ryde is a longtime Baltimore burlesque native having traveled the country as a performer and doing nerdlesque of all different flavors and varieties! When not performing, Allen runs his own party entertainment company bringing top notch entertainment to parties of all kinds! He likes sexy underwear, whiskey sours and a good time!

Mercury Divine

Mercury Divine is Seattle’s Dandiest Dandy, and the King of 1000 Faces. Equal parts nonsense, narrative, and nudity, this king brings you full technicolor absurdity—onstage, on screen, and on the street! For maximum enjoyment find them on Instagram, at @mercurydivine.
