About Waypoint Norwescon

It’s a long journey to Norwescon 44 in April, so dock your shuttle at Waypoint Norwescon, a two-day virtual relaxacon happening the weekend of January 15–16, 2022, held on the conferencing platform Airmeet. Join us for two days of programming, special events, and community!

Memberships

Your Waypoint Norwescon membership gives you access to all areas of the relaxacon.

Registration

Registration for Waypoint Norwescon is now open! The rate is $15 for all attendees. Memberships are non-refundable.

Programming & Special Events

On Saturday, attend live and pre-recorded panels, readings, concerts, a dance, gaming, and more lasting into the wee hours. You’ll hear from familiar locals as well as citizens of the galaxy who usually can’t make it to Norwescon (the virtual space eliminates obstacles like distance)! The fun continues on Sunday as we time warp to a curated collection of pre-recorded panels and events from Norwescon 43.

Watch this space for a schedule of events including panels, panelists, readings, special events, and performers.

Social Spaces

Take advantage of our social spaces to gather on both days of the relaxacon.

Lobby: The lobby is full of tables where you can video chat. Just pull up a chair and you’re in the discussion! It’s a great place to rendezvous with friends, connect with colleagues, or meet new people. This is also a space where you can continue panel conversations.

Arena: Stop by the arena to play games.

Rules & Guidelines

We ask all members to abide by our code of conduct, along with all other Norwescon policies and procedures.

Airmeet

Waypoint Norwescon will be presented in Airmeet, the same online conferencing platform used for Norwescon 43. In Airmeet, you can build a personal profile, create a schedule of panels and events you’d like to attend, send messages to other attendees, and socialize using video. Panels and events will be held on stages that allow you to interact with other people in the audience and raise your hand to ask questions.

Minimum system requirements: Dual-core processor and 2GB memory.
