April ConCom Parking Information

This entry was published on April 4, 2019 and may be out of date. For the most current information on this year's Norwescon, please see our most recent blog posts. Thank you!

If you are planning on attending this Saturday’s NWC42 ConCom planning meeting, you may have seen alerts that the parking lot at the hotel was expected to be full, and that we recommended carpooling or public transportation options. We have received some updated information from the hotel, and in short: The hotel likely won’t be as crowded as we feared, but other lots are quite crowded. Please plan accordingly!

Full details:

As it turns out, the hotel expects peak usage to be today and tomorrow, so Saturday should be closer to normal, but you may still have to park a bit further out in the lots than you are used to.

If the hotel lot is full and/or you have been eyeing the WallyPark across the street or any of the many airport parking business as possible alternative parking locations, we’ve been informed that spring break means that the WallyPark and many of the other businesses and overflow lots are booked to full or nearly full capacity.

If you would still like to pursue transit options (save some gas, see the Seattle sights, meet your neighbors!), we have assembled this list of transit options to the hotel from the Tacoma Dome station, the Federal Way Transit Center, and the Westfield Southcenter Mall.

Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to seeing you at this final pre-NWC42 planning meeting!
