A Norwescon membership gives you access to all member areas of the convention. You will also be eligible to receive all associated convention publications before, during, and after the convention.

Pre-Registration
Norwescon 37 (2014) Pre-registration is now open!
The cost for a full-weekend (four day) membership is $50 through August 31st, 2013. The pre-registration price will increase in September, so register today for the best rate!
The cost of a full 4-day membership purchased on-site will be **TBA**.
Daily memberships will be sold on the specific day of attendance only and rates will be posted on or around **TBA**. If you are planning on attending two convention days a 4-day membership is your most cost-effective option.
Children 12 and Under
Children 12 and under may attend for free, but must have a permission slip on file in order to attend the convention. If you plan to bring children with you, you can save some time at registration by completing this form (119KB .pdf) and bringing it with you when you arrive.

Norwescon 36 (2013) Pre-registration is now closed.
At the door registration will be available from noon to 10 p.m. on Thursday March 28, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday March 29 and 30, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday March 31, 2013.
A full-weekend registration may be purchased for **$70**.
Single-day admission rates are:

Single-day passes may only be purchased on the day of use.

Why pre-register?
It is one of the age old questions about convention attendance: Do I pre-register, or buy my membership/ticket at the door? Below are a few factors to consider for next year.
Pre-registration allows you to lock in a discounted membership price.
If you’re concerned about how expensive fandom conventions are becoming, then getting your membership at a discounted price is probably pretty important. The general rule of thumb is this: the earlier you buy, the cheaper it is. How much cheaper? Sometimes it can be as much as $20. Sometimes it’s as little as $5. Keep an eye on Norwescon’s website and sign up for our eNewsletter mailing list so that you’ll be alerted when tickets become available and when pre-registration deadlines are looming on the horizon.
Pre-registration allows you to (usually) skip the really long “day of” lines.
Aside from saving money, one of the big bonuses to pre-registering for a convention is that you don’t have to wait in line to purchase your membership the morning you arrive. Depending on the time of day and date that you arrive, the lines can be absolutely massive. Pre-registration is almost necessary if you don’t want to waste your precious time in line.
Pre-registering guarantees you admittance.
For years with an attendance cap, pre-registering can be the only way to guarantee yourself entry to the convention. There simply may not be any memberships left come Saturday morning. It would really suck to travel to a con and get to the front doors only to find out that the con is full. If you’re concerned about this, you should check the information on their website.
So, eliminate some unnecessary stress from your life. Register for Norwescon 37 today!

Weapons Policy
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO INSPECT AND REJECT ANY WEAPON AT ANY TIME.
VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY IN PART OR WHOLE MAY LEAD TO YOUR REMOVAL FROM THE CONVENTION BY CONVENTION EXECUTIVE STAFF AND FROM THE HOTEL BY HOTEL SECURITY OR LOCAL AUTHORITIES.
This policy includes all real and replicated weapons of any type that may be construed as a projectile weapon or any extension of the human hand.
Peacebonding will be available next to the Information Table during open registration hours and in the Security Office when the Peacebonding table is closed.
Peacebonding is required on all weapons visibly worn/carried on the hotel property including parking areas and indoor spaces. The only type of peacebonding allowed is that provided by the convention. Fashion coordinated substitutes are not sufficient.
NO unsheathed weapon allowed in ANY public space (unless approved in advance for Masquerade or Programming event in which bonding ties will be removed for such an event and replaced immediately afterward).
All bladed/pointed weapons will be appropriately covered in all public areas and function spaces. This includes but is not limited to: Daggers, Swords, Pikes, Axes, and Polearms, be they made of steel, plastic, or any other hard material.
Polearms, Spears, Staves, and other such weapons shall be kept upright at all times and have weapon heads sheathed and bonded. The ends of said weapons must never project more than 12″ from the bearer’s body.
Some weapons are not allowed at all: tazers, batons, real guns, pepper spray, crossbows, slingshots, pellet guns, water pistols, blowguns, catapults, or any type of functioning projectile weapon.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR THE FOLLOWING:
“Airsoft-style” or “Nerf-style” weapons:
At NO time is ammo allowed, in weapon or in magazine.
Empty magazines are NOT allowed in the weapon, but allowed on the belt or in a pouch for costume purposes (again NO ammo allowed).
Bows (again, crossbows are NOT allowed):
- Arrows must be proven to be secured in such a manner as to be unable to be removed from their container and be secured by Peacebonding the same as all other weapons.
Any obvious appearing toy “side arms” such as Disruptors, Phasers, Laser Tag pistols/rifles, laser pointers, or any other item that can project/emit light or sound shall be peacebonded and remain in an appropriate holster at all times or held in an appropriate manner. Exemptions must be authorized by qualified Security personnel.
Special consideration will be granted by the Convention Services Executive or a select designee by said Executive to Merchants or Dealers who display or show for the purpose of sale. Any weapons removed from Dealers room will fall under above guidelines.
No weapons are allowed in Maxi’s Lounge, Seaport Lounge, or Coffee Garden Restaurant.
This Policy complies with hotel policy and local, state, and federal laws.
THERE WILL BE NO APPEAL TO ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES.

Roll Over and Transfer Information
Purchased a membership for Norwescon 37 but already know you are not going to be able to attend? Nothing to worry about! You can roll your membership over to the next year or transfer it to another individual. Just submit the appropriate form:
