Norwescon is entering its 45th year as the Northwest’s premier science fiction and fantasy convention! Our mission to promote science fiction, fantasy, horror, related fictional genres, and science through the written word, art, and educational programs is intended to provide all who attend with opportunities to interact, engage, and learn together.

So often when we ask people what Norwescon means to them, they say “Norwescon is my family!” On the heels of our return to the in-person con last month, akin to a family reunion, we can all agree that was just the medicine we needed after being away from each other for so long. You know that when you arrive at Norwescon, you are with family.

At its best, science fiction and fantasy are genres of inclusion when they embrace different worlds, futures, lifestyles, and viewpoints vastly different from mainstream cultures. You can help Norwescon as we welcome members and professionals from all quarters of our community in a safe, welcoming environment!

Norwescon is a community convention – organized by fans, for fans. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, the money we make goes directly back into the convention to make the next year even better. One of the ways we can make Norwescon better is by inviting those with new voices, different experiences, and unique perspectives to join our community.

Norwescon believes that we are stronger together and one of the best things we can do together is provide assistance to those who may not be able to attend Norwescon because of financial concerns.

GiveBIG is a yearly fundraiser in May when thousands of people show their support for their favorite Washington nonprofits. All donations to Norwescon during GiveBig benefit the Norwescon Community Fund.
