General Information

What is Norwescon?

Norwescon is one of the largest regional Science Fiction conventions in the United States. While maintaining a primarily literary focus, Norwescon is large enough to provide a venue for many of the other aspects of Science Fiction and the interests of its fans such as anime, costuming, art, and much, much more.

Norwescon is the host convention for the prestigious Philip K. Dick Award, given to a distinguished original science fiction paperback published for the first time during the award year in the U.S.A.

Finally Norwescon is a lot of fun.

Parking

The DoubleTree SeaTac Airport Hotel has 836 parking spaces! Although this is a remarkable parking space per guest room ratio, parking at the hotel is very, very limited.

  • For convention members staying in a hotel guest room, parking is complimentary for 1 vehicle per guest room.
  • Additional cars and other vehicles may park for $5.00 per day/per space.
  • Vehicles parked in fire lanes, delivery lanes, or blocking throughways will be towed at the owner's expense
  • To provide as many parking spaces as possible, park & fly is suspended for the weekend and the hotel staff parks off site.

We encourage you to seek alternatives to bringing your vehicle to the hotel. We're fortunate to be so near the airport where many parking facilities are available, many facilities offer special weekend rates.

The DoubleTree SeaTac has relationships with area parking facilities, check back for contact information.  Shuttle service may be available from other DoubleTree / Hilton properties, check back for more information.

If you're local, please consider:

  • Riding Metro
  • Taking a taxi, contact the Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau for transportation services.
  • Carpooling with your favorite fen (split the cost of renting a large van for all your gear).
