For lan gaming hours visit the convention hours page.

Follow the screams and cannon fire into a networked assembly of finely tuned gaming computers. There amidst the rubble, you'll find action, adventure, and companionship as you collect magical items, dodge zombies, build military bases, riddle fighter planes with bullets, and splatter entrails against the walls - all in good fun, of course.

Engage in freestyle terraforming (tank weapons can kick up a lot of dirt). Embark on a quest into the depths of hell - or just play some solitaire. Whatever your pleasure, you can probably find something you like. We have plenty of Single-player and Multi-player games on networked PCs, and friendly staff to help you get started. Sorry, no game consoles (X-Box, PS/2, Nintendo, etc).

Games include:

Crimson Skies
Dungeon Seige
Mechwarrior: Mercenaries
Starcraft: Brood War
Tread Marks
Unreal Tournament
Miscellaneous non-violent puzzle and card games

What the heck is Electronic Mayhem?

We are an organization dedicated to providing computer-related technical services to conventions. We started with Rustycon 16, with six crusty Pentium 166 computers, running Starcraft, Doom, and a couple of other games. We steadily improved our offering each year. We replaced the cardboard door decoration which had laser-printed lettering with a wooden door decoration with an LED readerboard embedded in it, with rotating yellow hazard lights constructed from servos, motorcycle turn signals, and flashlight components. We replaced the old crunchy computers with eight brand new, identical gaming computers. When gaming was not enough to satisfy our craving for technology at conventions, we added Internet Access computers, along with a scanner and printer so that people could get those last-minute flyers and other publications made up. We've also added Wireless Internet Access to our lineup. We now offer these services to all Pacific Northwest conventions - so if you're interested, click on the e-mail link above, and drop us a line!

We've been seen lurking about at Rustycon, Westercon 56, Ringcon, and are soon to be found skulking through Norwescon, then CascadiaCon (NASFiC 2005).

When Rustycon 21 looked as if it could really do with some technology to boost communication, Electronic Mayhem stepped up. We're giving back to the convention that was generous enough to get us started.

Here are some of the things we're up to:

  • We're running the Rustycon Website.
  • We've programmed and launched Online Registration for Rustycon.
  • Rustycon members can now sign up online and pay with PayPal - no paper required, instant membership!
  • We've implemented a Rustycon WebMail Server
  • All ConCom members have rustycon.com e-mail addresses, complete with distribution groups and an announcement list.
  • We've constructed a computer kiosk in the shape of a dalek (from Doctor Who).
The dalek invaded Anglicon, proudly displaying the Rustycon Website.
  • We're constructing a "Personal Pocket Program" to be hosted on the dalek at Rustycon and possibly other conventions.
Convention members will be able to browse the programming grid, choose the events they'd like to attend, and print them out on an attractive customized pocket program.

Look for more innovative application of technology, enhancing communication and drawing attention to Pacific Northwest Science Fiction and Fantasy Conventions!

(Oh, and we're still gonna kick your ass in Unreal Tournament if you dare to enter the gaming room!)
