BREAKFAST WITH THE COLONEL
It's the future... and it kind of sucks

On Sunday, April 20, Norwescon 26 is proud to present the exclusive
Pacific Northwest premiere of "Breakfast With The Colonel." This
80-minute science fiction feature has been described as "1984 for the
slacker generation."

The story is set in the near future. In a post-USA province called
" Pacifica," Colonel Casper Mach rules with an iron fist. In a fairly
lame attempt ot repackage himself as a beloved media icon, he also
appears each morning as host of a TV show, "Breakfast With The Colonel."
Jack Sorenson, a citizen of Pacifica Province, has never considered
himself a revolutionary. But after a missed rent payment and similar
grievous offenses, he's declared "lifestyle dysfunctional" and the state
sets about fulfilling his unrealized potential. Jack resists. Before
long he's a fugitive, pursued by the Colonel's brutal militia.
Ultimately Jack encounters the Colonel himself.

" Breakfast With The Colonel" was a self-financed "labor of love" for
writer-director John Harden and his partner, Glen Kinion, who lit, shot,
and edited the project. Principal production took place on weekends over
a two year period, with all-volunteer cast and crew. "It's not slick but
it is well-crafted," says Harden. "Our lack of money gives it a homemade
quality I hope you will find endearing!" More information about
" Breakfast With The Colonel" can be found at www.bwtc-movie.com.
